For lab owners. No coding needed. Developers building an integration with the Flabs APIs should see AI Coding Assistant instead.
The Flabs connector links your Flabs account to Claude or ChatGPT. Once connected, you can ask questions about your lab the way you would ask a colleague — “What was my revenue last week?”, “Which doctors referred the most patients this month?”, “Show me abnormal results from today” — and get answers built from your live Flabs data. It is made for lab owners: a single place to see what is happening across all your branches, without opening reports one by one.

What you can ask

Revenue & collections

Gross and net revenue, cash collected, payment-mode split, discounts, refunds and average bill value — for any period and any branch.

Dues

Outstanding dues and how long they have been pending, B2B receivables, centre balances and payments received.

Patient reports

Report values, abnormal and critical results, and how often a parameter was tested.

Lab operations

Bill counts, department-wise and test-wise volumes, turnaround time (TAT), cancellations and collections by staff member.

Doctors & referrers

Business and commission by referring doctor, hospital or B2B centre.

Trends & comparisons

Day, week or month trends and “this period vs last period” comparisons, which Claude or ChatGPT can turn into charts and tables.
If you own more than one lab, a single connection covers all of them. You can ask about one branch, a few, or all of them together. Dashboards and tables you saved in Labby AI can also be reopened and refreshed for a new date range.

Example questions

Before you start

  • A Flabs lab owner (Lab Admin) login. Only the lab owner can connect Flabs. Staff and manager logins can’t.
  • An Enterprise plan on Flabs.
  • A Claude or ChatGPT account. Claude works on Free, Pro and Max. ChatGPT needs Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise; it isn’t available on Free or Go.

Connect Flabs

1

Open Connectors

Go to claude.ai or open the Claude app. Click your name in the bottom-left corner, choose Settings, then click Connectors.
2

Add Flabs

If Flabs appears under Browse connectors, click it and choose Connect, then skip to the next step.Otherwise click + Add → Add custom connector. Enter Flabs as the name, paste https://v2.flabs.in/flabs-mcp/mcp as the server URL, click Add, then click Connect next to Flabs.
3

Sign in to Flabs

A Flabs page opens. Enter the mobile number you use to log in to Flabs, type the OTP sent to it, then click Allow.
4

Ask your first question

Start a new chat. Click + → Connectors and check that Flabs is switched on. Then ask anything about your lab.
You can also follow these steps, with pictures, inside Flabs: log in as the lab owner and open Flabs MCP from the left menu.

What the AI can see

When you click Allow, Claude or ChatGPT gets read access to the following, for the labs you own:
Patient report values and bill lists contain patient information. Anything the connector returns becomes part of your conversation with Claude or ChatGPT and is handled under that company’s privacy terms. Connect only accounts that you, as the lab owner, are comfortable sharing this data with.

Safe by design

  • Read-only. The connector cannot create, edit, cancel or delete anything in Flabs — no bills, reports, patients or settings.
  • Only your labs. Every answer is limited to the labs owned by the account that signed in. Other labs’ data can never be reached.
  • OTP sign-in. Connecting needs an OTP sent to the lab owner’s registered mobile number. Your Flabs password is never shared with Claude or ChatGPT.
  • No raw database access. The AI can only use a fixed set of reports that Flabs has built and checked. It cannot run its own queries.
  • Flabs does not read your chats. Flabs only receives the specific request the AI makes for data (for example “revenue, last 7 days, all branches”), never your full conversation.

Disconnect

You can remove access at any time, from either side:
  • In Flabs: log in as the lab owner, open Flabs MCP from the left menu, and click Disconnect next to the app.
  • In Claude: Settings → Connectors → Flabs → Disconnect.
  • In ChatGPT: Plugins → Flabs → remove or disconnect it.
Once disconnected, the AI can no longer read any Flabs data. To use it again, connect and sign in with your OTP again.

FAQ

No. The connector runs on Flabs’ servers. You only add it inside Claude or ChatGPT and sign in.
Only the lab owner can connect Flabs. Anyone using that Claude or ChatGPT account after it is connected can ask questions, so connect it only on an account you control.
Answers are calculated from your live Flabs data using the same calculations as Labby AI. If something looks off, ask the AI which date range and branches it used.
Claude and ChatGPT stay connected but cannot read any lab data until the plan is renewed. Access comes back on its own after renewal — no need to reconnect.
No. The connector is read-only. It can’t create bills, edit reports or change settings.
